DM Purnesh is a Fourth Generation coffee grower hailing from Chikmagalur birthplace of coffee in India. Having brought up in a plantations he has inbuilt flair for management of people and coffee growing techniques. Mr. Purnesh is Managing Director of Classic Group of Companies over four decades, businesses are spread in the field of Real Estate, Coffee growing and export.

He has been one among the first Coffee Grower who has focused on quality of coffee by scientifically cultivating and processing coffee. He strongly believes in high quality coffee cultivation practices along with retaining the flora & fauna of the surrounding. Plantations Harley Estate owned by his family has been winning National and International awards for one of the best Arabica and Robusta coffee from India.

He has travelled to many coffee growing regions of the world and also participated in many international coffee trade events around the world. Having gained the knowledge of processing “Speciality Coffee” he has taken initiative along with others in forming “Speciality Coffee Association of India” (SCAI) two decades ago. He is currently President of SCAI. He has been part of conducting Barista championships in India for last 20 years. Also member of Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) for many years. He has served as member of Coffee Board, appointed by Government of India in the year 2014 for a period of three years.
