The Coffee Board being the licensed National body has been organizing the National Barista Championship (NBC) successfully for the past several years with the support of the coffee stakeholders and organizations such as the SCAI & UCAI.

This competition was framed to identify the technically skilled and best Baristas in this profession and the competition mainly focuses on promoting excellence in coffee value chain, strengthen and encourage the skill development and also to promote café culture in India.

The National Barista Championship which is dedicated to inspiring excellence in coffee brewing and to encourage passionate baristas to enhance their skills through an exciting and challenging competition. The winner of NBC will represent India in the World Barista Championship (WBC) organized by World Coffee Events (WCE). Coffee Board being recognized as national body, is the only entity licensed in the country that can send contestants to World Barista Championship (WBC).
