The Coffee Quality Division of the Coffee Board of India works to maintain and enhance global quality standards for Indian coffee through its NABL-accredited laboratories and capacity-building programmes.
Its initiatives include training programmes such as the Post Graduate Diploma in Coffee Quality Management (PGDCQM), Kaapi Shastra, and Barista Training, along with awareness campaigns like Know Your Kaapi and the Flavour of India Fine Cup Awards, which encourage quality-focused production among growers. The Division also organizes national coffee competitions, promotes Geographical Indiacation (GI)-registered coffees, and supports stakeholder skill development through international certifications - strengthening India’s presence in the global specialty coffee sector.
